is time to show our deep appreciation and respect for Orunmila’s amazing

On behalf of our godchildren
and ourselves, Omi Kunle and I would like to express our profound sadness
for the people of our Gulf States and other afflicted areas during this tragic,
tragic time. We extend our prayers and heartfelt good wishes too all those
affected, especially, of course, to the good people of New Orleans, our brothers
and sisters in Spirit, bound by our various rich traditions - Ifa, Orisha,
Palo and Lwa traditions, which have thrived in that beautiful city for centuries.
We encourage you to consider giving to the American
Red Cross, which is, of course, spearheading aid and relief efforts.
We also would like to
congratulate our newest Iyawo, who was initiated in June as a priest of Oshun,
and also our children Iyawosita Obatala and Iyawo Yemaya who were initiated
in March. We are proud of all 3 of you.
We will be celebrating
Omi Kunle’s Orisha, Yemaya, for Yemaya and Oshun’s feast day with
a bembe at our home on Saturday, September 10th. Please call or email for
